“Characteristics of People who succeeded in Prayer”

 

 

  1. An intimate knowledge of the word/will of God concerning the thing about which they prayed.  II Chronicles 20:1-10, Genesis 18:22-33, I John 5:14-15

 

  1. Diligence-Hebrews 11:6, II Peter 1:5-11

 

  1. Determination-(Mark 7:25-30 Syrophenician woman, Zacheus Luke 19:2-10, Mark 5:22-34 (women with the issue of blood)

 

  1. Aggressiveness-Matt. 11:12, Genesis 32:22-29, Genesis 15:8-13

 

  1. Patience-Hebrews 6:11-15, Hebrews 10:35-39, James 1:3-7, Romans 15:4

 

  1. They trusted God instead of man-(Psalm 20:7, Daniel 6:1-10, 13-23, Psalm 21:1-7)-King Darius couldn’t help Daniel even though he was his friend and King.

 

The circumstance showed them where their faith was…in God-Luke 4:24-27

 

What happens when we have learned to trust God instead of man? (Jeremiah 17:5-8, Daniel 3:17-18, 28-30; Proverbs 3:5-6, I Tim. 6:17)

Trusting man, money or your own abilities is a trap to believers! Mark 10:23-25, Matthew 13:23, Mark 4:19

 

I have God.  My trust is in His Word.  I’m all trusted out!  I have emptied myself of all and any trust and poured it out unto the Lord.
